In early September, UEC-Perm Motors (as part of Rostec’s United Engine Corporation) shipped four gas turbine unit packages to Gazprom. The units are to substitute foreign equipment at the company’s facilities.

Two GTU-25P packages were shipped to the booster compressor station at GP-1 gas field, Bovanenkovo oil and gas condensate field. The units based on Russian-made PS-90GP-25 engine are designed for modernization of gas compressor units and substitution of foreign power plants. Engines of a total of five gas compressor units are to be replaced at the site. Another three GTU-25P are to be manufactured and supplied in 2023.

Two more GTU-10P packages were shipped to Chayanda oil and gas condensate field for a unique production unit − helium concentrate membrane separation plant. Currently, six GTU-10P are already operated at the site as part of gas compressor units. Chayanda field is a resource base for the Power of Siberia gas pipeline.

GTU-10P 10 MW and GTU-25P 25 MW gas turbine units are based on PS-90A aircraft engine gas generator used on modern Russian Il-96-300, Tu-204 and Tu-214 passenger airplanes. GTU-25P has been recognized by experts as the most high-performance Russian drive for gas compressor infrastructure.
