In 2023, Kalashnikov Increased Special-Purpose Equipment Production by 45%

In 2023, Kalashnikov increased special-purpose equipment production by 45% and delivered Vihr-1 and Strela missiles, cannon-launched guided projectile assemblies and modules to the customers, and worked on mastering new precision equipment. The company has also concluded a major export contract for supply of Vihr-1 guided missiles to a friendly country.

The company opened a new production facility in the preceding year – a special-purpose machine division that produces UAV, systems for high-precision engagement of remote single and group ground targets, ground-based starting systems, checkout equipment, special-purpose equipment maintenance and repair systems. The division has fulfilled a public contract for supply of guided munition and ground-based starting systems for 9K135 (UAV KUB) and created an upgraded version of this guided munition. The company developed, tested and set up batch production of the advanced product within a limited time period, then the first batch of the upgraded guided munitions with high-power warhead was shipped to the customer in December 2023 in accordance with the terms of the public contract. At the same time, the division is successfully working on the development of new KUB systems and components.
