Russian Helicopters holding has demonstrated the Ansat medical evacuation helicopter made by Kazan Helicopter Plant to journalists from leading Arab mass media. The helicopter was showcased at the industrial potential exhibition of the Republic of Tatarstan on the eve of the first Russia-Arab summit that will take place in Moscow on 14-15 October.

The ambulance version of the Ansat light utility helicopter was demonstrated to mass media representatives from Arab countries of the Middle East and North Africa as well as from countries of East Africa included in the League of Arab States.

“Russian helicopters are used in more than 100 countries worldwide. African and Arab regions are our long-standing partners, however, there is a significant potential for further enhancement of cooperation. Besides the Mi-8 type helicopters, which are traditionally highly appreciated, the interest in light Ansats is growing. Their advantages include high maneuverability and user-friendliness. These helicopters are indispensable for Russia’s air ambulance system and provide medical evacuation services for patients in various regions of the country. Moreover, the Ansat has undergone the type certificate validation in China, India, Zimbabwe, Turkmenistan and Mexico,” said Nikolay Kolesov, General Director of Russian Helicopters.

The Ansat furnished with a medical module for transportation of patients and an infectious isolation box intended for medical evacuation of patients with suspected especially dangerous infections and viruses was demonstrated at the exhibition.
