The company showcased the Ansat, Ka-32А11VS and Mi-8/17 helicopters at the international exhibition

Users of Russian helicopters in the Asian Region shared their experience of flying the rotorcraft made by Rostec’s Russian Helicopters and discussed the prospects of future cooperation on the sidelines of China Helicopter Exposition 2025 in China. 

The conference was attended by representatives of Chinese companies, who told the audience about successful operation of Russian helicopters certified in the PRC. The Mi-8/17, Ka-32А11VS and Mi-26 have been used in China for years — the helicopters fulfill socially significant functions, are used for fire fighting, search and rescue operations and emergency mitigation. 

“Enhancement of cooperation with China is one of our priority areas of focus. A wide range of Russian civil helicopters is currently used in China: for example, thirty three Mi-171, four Mi-26, the total Ka-32А11VS fleet consists of forty helicopters. Customers traditionally emphasize their high efficiency. Heavy lift helicopters have shown an excellent performance and are most popular is Asian regions,” said Nikolay Kolesov, General Director of Russian Helicopters. 

A number of meetings took place during the exhibition where the Russian party expressed its willingness to supply more Russian helicopters to China. 

Russian Helicopters holding is ready to offer Chinese partners the Ka-32А11VS and modernized Ka-32А11М for fire fighting purposes, Mi-26 for natural disaster recovery, and Ansat light helicopters for emergency medical service missions and flight training.
