Uralvagonzavod has presented a unique autonomous refrigerator railcar for the transportation of perishable goods at the International INNOPROM industrial exhibition in Uzbekistan. The technology was created by order of Russian Refrigerators LLC. There are currently no analogues of such cars in 1520mm rail gauge markets.

The developer of the refrigerator is the Ural Railcar Design Bureau of the Uralvagonzavod Concern, the manufacturer is Uralvagonzavod.

The autonomous refrigerated car is a completely new product in the civilian product line of Uralvagonzavod and Ural Railcar-Building Design Office and is a good example of production diversification. A distinctive feature of the new railway product is its autonomy, designed to last 30 days, while existing refrigerators can only run as part of special trains. In the cargo compartment of the refrigerated car the temperature is automatically maintained from -20 to + 15 °C. The compartment is over 19 meters long.

The new product also features a special assembly. An innovative bogie model (18-194-1), produced at Uralvagonzavod, is rolled under the car. To maintain the required temperature throughout the body, a special heat-insulating material is applied, the floor is covered with a waterproofing layer.

The refrigerator is equipped with a modern electronic system with the ability to track the wagon via GPRS channels. The shipper can determine the necessary information from the sensors to adjust the shipment. With the help of the control panel it is possible to see the fuel level, temperature, air humidity and other indicators.
