Uralvagonzavod has Made a New Type of Railway Car

Car assembly personnel of Volchansky Mechanical Plant (VMZ) has completely assembled the first flat car prototype for rod bundle transportation that was designed by Urals Rail Car Design Bureau (UKBV). The car has been tested at the UKBV test center in accordance with the approved program and has been delivered to the customer under the contract.

Impact test, brake performance test and operation safety test have been carried out.

23-592-03 type flat car with a capacity up to 65.5 tons is designed to carry round rolled stock in bundles with a diameter from 300 mm to 600 mm and a length from 4 m to 12 m. This type of car is a service railway vehicle intended for cargo transportation on railroad tracks of a manufacturing facility.
