Uralkriomash has received the Eurasian Conformity certificate for a new 15-5107 type railway tank car. The car is designed for transportation of nitrogen pressurized light petroleum products, including naphtyl, on railways with a gauge of 1,520 mm. The car was developed to ensure propellant transportation, storage and delivery at the Vostochny Cosmodrome.

The tank car is distinguished from previous products by its stainless steel shell. Naphtyl-wetted components are inert and, thus, ensure purity and quality of the transported product. The 15-5107 type tank-car is pressure-tight, has top loading/unloading and an operating pressure of 0.5 MPa. The tank shell capacity is at least 85 m3. Reliability is ensured in the ambient temperature range from –60 to +50 °С.

Only pure standard gases are used for tank car operation, thus, avoiding any harmful emission. The tank car meets all safety requirements for pressure vessels.

“This is a brand new product in the company’s product range. The tank car is a custom-made product. This type of naphtyl transportation car is currently unparalleled in Russia,” said Dmitry Skoropupov, General Director of Uralkriomash.
