Yekaterinburg again welcomes the participants of the Innoprom International Industrial Exhibition which is held from 4 July to 7 July. The main topic this year – is the “Industrial transition: from Challenges to New Opportunities”. The main issues in the current conditions include imports phase-out and cooperation development.

Rostec’s joint stand presents Russian products manufactured by the Corporation’s companies, including the imports phase-out program. Some Rostec’s innovations at the Innoprom-2022 are described below.

Powerful electric vehicle supply equipment: will charge a vehicle in 20 minutes

Transition to electric vehicles – is a global trend of our time.  The government of the Russian Federation announced a large-scale national electromobilization plan in August last year. Establishment of a wide and readily-accessible electric vehicle supply equipment network is perhaps one of the key conditions of this process. According to the national electric vehicle development concept, the number of electric vehicle supply equipment shall exceed 70,000 by 2030.

The focus is made on new fast charging electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) which makes it possible to fully charge an electric vehicle during a short period of time in a shop or cafe.  Such state-of-the-art type of equipment has been developed by NPO Electromashina(as part of Uralvagonzavod, Rostec State Corporation). A 150 kW EVSE is capable of charging a vehicle up to 80% in 20 minutes – this is the first charging station with such power level made in Russia.

The new EVSE is furnished with Amasis 2.0 intellectual system which is responsible for video analytics, is equipped with ecological monitoring sensors and provides free Wi-Fi access.

Niva Legend ambulance: will give a handicap in off-road conditions

The key exhibits of the Shvabe holding this year include Niva Legend 4×4 Prima Class А cross-country ambulance with improved comfort and safety performance for Russian regions. This vehicle has been designed by Shvabe-SpecAvto – a Shvabe holding subsidiary.

Niva for Class A ambulance is designed to ensure urgent short-distance transportation of patients. This vehicle is maneuverable, has reduced dimensions and weight and is suitable to be used in high speed mode. In addition, the vehicle is furnished with a capsule option – inner wall to ensure higher safety of medical personnel and patient, also for transportation of contagious patients. Only the absolutely necessary equipment, including gurney, is inside the vehicle.

Oxygen concentrator: an essential innovation

Another key exhibit provided by Shvabe – is a concentrator to ensure pure oxygen supply to patients. Oxygen prepared using this system has a purity coefficient of 90-96%. Such gas is used by anesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care units, surgery suites, in particular, it is vital for coronavirus disease treatment.

The gas is generally supplied to health care facilities in compressed condition in bottles and delivered to wards via centralized supply systems. However, from the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, demand for medical oxygen has increased dramatically. This Medical Technologies’ solution to be manufactured at Zagorsk Optical and Mechanical Plant (ZOMZ) will enable doctors to prepare medical oxygen gas by themselves independently of any suppliers.

Corner reflector: will measure the distance to the Moon and back

Trihedrals or high-precision corner reflectors are among the most barely noticeable, but very important and unusual exhibits this year. This is an optical component designed to redirect incident light back towards the incidence side. A primitive version of such reflector which can vividly demonstrate the operating principle of these devices – is a conventional cat’s eye, the reflective road sign which glows in the dark. Such red and orange “signs” are attached to various vehicles: bicycles, motorbikes, and car bumpers.

Professional-grade high-precision corner reflectors are traditionally used in spectral equipment, for accurate distance measurement, topographic survey and construction. They are also used for lunar or artificial Earth satellite laser ranging. For example, a corner reflector installed on the lunar surface made it possible to measure the distance to the Moon with an accuracy up to 40 cm.

Such types of products were previously imported to Russia from foreign countries.
