Rostec Doubled the Number of WorldSkills Participants

Rostec is going to double the number of the State Corporation's employees that will participate in the WorldSkills movement. This was declared during the National Championship of High-Tech Cross-Industry Workers based on the WorldSkills Hi-Tech technique. The event is being held from 4 to 6 November in Yekaterinburg. The State Corporation is the general partner of the championship. The Rostec team participates in 15 competences: life cycle management, prototyping, electronics, engineering design, welding, milling, lathe work, etc.

The State Corporation intends to double in 2018 the number of its employees that will participate in the WorldSkills movement to about 170 persons. It should be recalled that this year the WorldSkills team includes 84 participants and experts from Rostec.

Apart from the growing number of the movement participants, the State Corporation is going to introduce new competences to the WorldSkills Hi-Tech championship. In particular, one of the most promising expert fields is bio-informatics. The high demand for specialists in this field is explained by intensive work carried out by Rostec in the sphere of pharmaceutical production to develop new drugs.

For purposes of raising the Corporation's production potential Rostec is going to offer employment and decent working conditions to the best WorldSkills participants.

It should be recalled that last year Rostec for the first time ever appeared as a single team at WorldSkills Hi-Tech. That was the largest team of the State Corporation over the entire history of participation in the championship. 40 employees from dozens of Rostec's holding companies competed in the event.
