KAMAZ Signs Cooperation Agreement with Austria’s PALFINGER AG


Cooperation with the Austrian group PALFINGER AG, a lifting and handling equipment leader would help KAMAZ secure a place in the lifting and handling gear-equipped vehicles in Russia and the CIS. The Russian market of specialized equipment has a tremendous growth potential.

PALFINGER AG, an Austrian manufacturing company, has become partner of KAMAZ in production of lifting, handling and specialized equipment, KAMAZ reports. General Director of KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin and PALFINGER AG (Austria) CEO Herbert Ortner signed a cooperation agreement to develop manufacturing of specialty equipment and joint collaboration with key partners and dealership networks.

KAMAZ will continue mounting Austrian equipment on its trucks, and promoting products and providing after-sale service through its own distribution network. In turn, PALFINGER AG intends to provide training and warranty service for the complete product line-up.

While evaluating cooperation prospects, KAMAZ OJSC General Director Sergey Kogogin said, “By choosing PALFINGER AG as a general partner capable of supporting volume manufacturing of products of high quality and providing full support should enable KAMAZ to secure a significant role in the loading and handling vehicle segment of Russian and CIS markets.
