United Aircraft Corporation has manufactured and delivered a new batch of the Su-34 strike fighters to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. The aircraft have undergone a series of necessary ground and flight factory tests and have been supplied to the customer.
“Due to its flexibility and considerable range of weapons, the Su-34 can fulfill a wide array of missions and, therefore, is one of the most demanded aircraft in the Aerospace Force. Using the experience gained in the special military operation zone, the aircraft has got improvements that provide more precise and powerful strikes at distances of hundreds of kilometers from its home airfield. It is one of world’s best aircraft by the ratio of performance metrics and combat characteristics,” said Rostec’s representatives.
The Su-34 strike fighter is designed to engage ground (surface) and air targets and infrastructure facilities protected by air defence systems and located at considerable distances from the home airfield. The aircraft may be also used to fulfill air reconnaissance missions.
“We are completing production program 2025 on a scheduled basis and have already started working on aircraft for the next year. UAC manufacturers keep up high military equipment production rates and fulfill their obligations to the Russian Air Force. This year is one of the most productive ones in terms of the amount of delivered tactical airplanes,” said Vadim Badekha, General Director of UAC.
