Rostec’s United Aircraft Corporation has manufactured and delivered a new batch of the Su-34 strike fighters to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation within the state defence procurement program.

“The Su-34 has a proven track record as a reliable and effective aircraft. The aircraft performance has been confirmed multiple times in real combat conditions. The frontline bomber is capable of engaging ground, surface and air targets, and acting in the most complex countermeasure conditions. Pilots highly appreciate its maneuverability, survivability and other properties,” said a Rostec’s representative.

The strike fighters have undergone a series of required ground and flight factory tests and have been supplied to the customer.

“UAC manufacturers consistently maintain high production rates for military equipment and fulfill their obligations to the Russian Air Force. The current month is a record-breaking one in terms of the amount of supplied aircraft. Our manufacturing personnel understand the importance of aircraft delivery to the field and not only provide the necessary output of the products, but are also continuously improving their manufacturing processes to ensure high-volume aircraft production,” said Vadim Badekha, General Director of UAC.

The Su-34 strike fighter is designed to engage ground (surface) and air targets and infrastructure facilities covered by air defence systems and located at considerable distances from the home airfield. The aircraft may be also used to fulfill air reconnaissance missions.
