Shvabe holding has shown a lithotripter for extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy that is capable of replacing similar foreign equipment both available in the market and used by medical centers. The solution has been certified by the Federal Service for Supervision in Healthcare and is being prepared for starting commercial production.

The Litotripter LT-1 is a high-tech medical unit with a shock wave generator as its key component. The principle of operation is based on sound vibrations acting on ureteral or kidney stones. Stone locations are detected using an X-ray unit or ultrasound machine.

The extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy technique is the most sparing treatment for patients because it disintegrates stones without surgical intervention.

The Litotripter LT-1 was designed by Moskovskij Zavod Sapphir included in Shvabe holding. The equipment was created with due regard of the domestic medical practice and with the participation of urologists.

High demand for kidney stone treatment machines is reported by medical device suppliers.
