In 2025, Shvabe holding will bring to market the first Russian portable mechanical ventilator, AIVL-D, that can be used at home. The product weighs 5 kg and is able to run in standalone mode during several hours due to a built-in battery. The ventilator has been registered with the Federal Service for Supervision in Healthcare to confirm its full fitness for use.
The AIVL-D is suitable for respiratory therapy in adults and children, including newborn babies. The product may be used in a hospital, ambulance vehicle and at home, for example, by palliative patients.
The device stores and synchronizes information to track any changes in patient’s condition and analyze the course of disease. Data may be stored in the device or transmitted on the Internet. Information gathered during a period of up to one year is available to doctors.
“We produce more than 150 types of medical devices and actively continue expanding the range of popular medical products. The AIVL-D is the first Russian portable mechanical ventilator that has safely switchable operating modes designed both for professional and domestic applications. The demand for such products is high. For example, children's palliative care organizations are interested in purchasing them,” said Oleg Evtushenko, Executive Director of Rostec State Corporation.
