During his field trip to the Volga region, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin visited UEC-Kuznetsov (included in Rostec’s United Engine Corporation) where he explored power units for aviation and energy industry.
The President could see the latest PD-8 engines for the Superjet regional jets, PD-14 for the МС-21-310 medium-range jets and VK-650V for the Ansat light helicopters. With the VK-650V made by UEC-Klimov in St.Petersburg, the import-substituted Ansat made its maiden flight on September 2.
The exposition also included a mockup of the GTD-110M high-power turbine. GTD-110M production is organized at UEC-Saturn in Rybinsk. The first commercial turbine has been successfully used at Udarnaya TPP since autumn 2024 and supplies the South of Russia with electricity.
Moreover, the NK-37 gas turbine engine made by Samara-based UEC-Kuznetsov was demonstrated. An advanced 25 MW and 32 MW gas turbine line is being developed on the basis of the modernized NK-37 engine.
After visiting the exposition, the President held a meeting on engine manufacturing and listened to reports.
