KAMAZ to Open a Representative Office in Uzbekistan

During the visit of the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to Uzbekistan the General Director of PJSC KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin and the Chairman of the Board of JSC UzAutoSanoat Umidjan Salimov have signed a cooperation agreement. The document provides for arrangement of trucks building facilities in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

KAMAZ-branded trucks will be built in Uzbekistan based on LLC UzAutoTrailer capacities (a subsidiary of JSC UzAutoSanoat). Besides, in the long view it is expected to create a joint venture for assembly of motor vehicles in the Republic, as was noted by KAMAZ media office.

According to the agreement, KAMAZ and UzAutoSanoat will carry out their activities through the KAMAZ Foreign Trade Company and UzAutoTrailer, respectively. Thus, KAMAZ FTC will supply spare parts and components assembly kits to UzAutoTrailer, and UzAutoTrailer will be obliged to assemble the chassis and install the add-ons produced by it either individually or jointly with KAMAZ. The agreement provides for supply of the first 100 kits for assembly of KAMAZ vehicles in the Republic as early as before the end of this year.

The first assembled vehicles will be demonstrated at the joint Client Day to be held in early 2018. The trucks will be sold in Uzbekistan and on export markets through the distributor to be created by the parties and its dealership network.
