KAMAZ Summed up the Work for Ten Months

 

The largest truck manufacturer in Russia, KAMAZ, which is a part of Rostec State Corporation, held a final meeting where the results of the company's production and financial activities for the ten months and the tasks before the end of this year were announced.

According to Sergey Kogogin, the General Director of KAMAZ, who opened the meeting, this year's market growth exceeded the most optimistic forecasts. "In the remaining two months of this year, the tempo of the main assembly line should be kept at the level of 210 cars per day," he said, "this is the maximum rate for the current year supported by real demand for KAMAZ vehicles."

In the period from January to October, 28, 791 units of KAMAZ vehicles were sold. 25,332 vehicles were sold on the Russian market – it means an increase by 22% compared to the same period last year. By the end of 2017, the company plans to sell more than 38,000 cars, including deliveries for export, which is also higher than it was planned for the year.

The company's revenue, according to international financial reporting standards, has reached 117.9 billion rubles since the beginning of the year - plus 26% compared to the same period last year; net profit exceeded 3.5 billion rubles - last year there was a loss of 860 million rubles. Investments in production amounted to more than 11.2 billion rubles, which is 59% higher than the same period of 2016.

In response to the apparent demand for ten months of the year, KAMAZ engineers developed 113 car and chassis configurations, including vehicle configurations of a new product range KAMAZ-5490, KAMAZ-65209 and KAMAZ-5325.
