КAMAZ-Master Made a Course for Rally DAKAR-2018

 

Yesterday, on 12 November trucks of KAMAZ-master Team took the course to the start of rally-raid Dakar-2018. The rally will start on January 6 in the city of Lima (Peru) and finish on January 20 in Cordoba (Argentine).

It was preceded by traditional test of the team on the training area in Tarlovka. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the General Director of KAMAZ, PJSC Sergey Kogogin, and the Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Nail Magdeev came here in order to see off members of KAMAZ-master Team for Dakar and wish them good luck.

Sergey Kogogin while seeing the team off noted the importance of the racers’ emotional state: “This kind of sports is impossible without having emotions: you win only when you are 100% ready, when you treat the contest with the enthusiastic drive. If you have not collected yourself and are not striving for winning you will not reach it”.

The jubilee which is the fortieth DAKAR-2018 will be held across the three countries namely Peru, Bolivia, and Argentine. The rally will start on January 6 in the city of Lima (Peru) and finish on January 20 in Cordoba (Argentine). The racers are to overcome more than 9 thousand kilometers.

Currently KAMAZ trucks are heading to the French port Havre to get initial technical inspections. On November 24, the vehicles of the Rally European participants will be loaded on the ferry for transportation across the Atlantic Ocean.

The four vehicles of KAMAZ-Master are heading to the DAKAR-2018 rally headed by the pilots Eduard Nikolaev, Airat Mardeev, Dmitry Sotnikov, and Anon Shibalov. This year the vehicle of Andrey Karginov who is currently taking post-traumatic physiotherapy will not participate.
