Concern Radio-Electronic Technologies included in Rostec State Corporation demonstrates Russia’s portable tonometer for measuring intraocular pressure for the first time in India. The product is especially important for this country: glaucoma causes loss of sight in more than 120,000 citizens annually. Air decontamination unit for medical facilities is another KRET’s premier in India. Both solutions are showcased at the first International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM. India.
TGDc-01 PRA tonometer measures intraocular pressure through an eyelid without contact with the eye cornea. Measurement takes several seconds without anesthesia. The instrument is extremely easy-to-use and is suitable, in particular, for examination of children. Such solutions are important for large-scale early-stage glaucoma detection in India where the disease causes loss of sight in more than 120,000 citizens annually.
The second display item is an air decontamination unit designed for wards and medical treatment rooms. The system kills bacteria and viruses via photocatalysis, needs no chemicals and replaceable filters. The compact device is wall-mounted or table-mounted, offering easy installation and operation. KRET expects that the product will be interesting to clinics in India.
“India is one of the largest and fast-growing medical equipment markets in Asia. Its size is estimated as approximately 14 bln USD, where about 60% of demand for medical devices are covered by imports. This is a promising business area for KRET. We offer mass-produced solutions which don’t need any sophisticated infrastructure: the compact tonometer quickly measures intraocular pressure without contact with the eye cornea, and the air purifier can function without replaceable filters and chemicals,” said Aleksandr Pan, General Director of KRET, Rostec State Corporation.
INNOPROM. India takes place for the first time on 9-11 September 2026 in New Delhi. India is one of Russia’s key commercial and industrial partners: mutual trade turnover has grown almost sevenfold over the past five years and exceeded 60 bln USD at year-end 2025.
