Rostec’s United Aircraft Corporation and local airlines have signed agreements for supply of the Il-114-300 regional turboprop airliners. A total of 85 aircraft are to be supplied.
A letter of intent for supply of 50 airliners for Pinnacle Air has been signed within the business program of the exhibition. A memorandum of understanding has been signed has been signed with Sleek Aviation that involves delivery of 35 airplanes and setting up a training center with a full flight simulator on the basis of the operator.
«The Il-114-300 is a fully Russian-made aircraft where all components from avionics to the TV7-117ST-01 engines is produced by local manufacturers. This is a modern comfortable and reliable airliner. Not surprisingly, it arouses interest not only in Russia, but also abroad. Utilization of the Il-114-300 by local airlines will facilitate implementation of the UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik — Let the Common Citizens of the Country Fly) national program that is aimed at making air travel more accessible and involves setting up new regional airports all over India. Apart from passenger operations, the aircraft can be used for mail and goods delivery, medical and rescue operations,” said Dmitry Lelikov, Deputy General Director of Rostec.
Aircraft supply schedules, maintenance terms and conditions, and obligations for localization of various components for the Il-114-300 are to be formalized in separate customer agreements.
