Concern Radio-Electronic Technologies (KRET) has produced ten Neoline-1 ventilators. The system helps neonates breathe without invasive interventions and gradually switch from mechanical ventilation to spontaneous breathing. The equipment is comparable to similar foreign products, including Swiss ones, but is 1.5 times cheaper.
Automatic flow rate control is one of the main distinguishing features of the ventilator. The system delivers the oxygen-air mixture while continuously adapting to spontaneous breathing of the baby, rather than using a rigid weight-based scheme. The system compensates air leakage and maintains the necessary airway pressure keeping the lungs fully inflated. This is especially crucial for extremely preterm babies.
“Mechanical respiratory support is currently required for 5% of neonates. Each figure stands for a life that can be saved without injurious exposure. Neoline-1 is a domestic expert class ventilator comparable to the best European equipment. We provide doctors with a reliable tool and reduce import dependency,” said Aleksey Melnikov, Director of Civil Product and National Project Development of KRET.
The ventilator supports several respiratory therapy modes. It can deliver humidified oxygen-air mixture, maintain continuous airway pressure or automatically alternate pressure levels. When a temporary pause in breathing occurs, the device switches to the standby ventilation mode on its own. Built-in monitoring system controls blood saturation and heart rate. It helps doctors choose therapy parameters according to the baby’s condition.
