The second batch of aircraft has been fabricated this year by Novosibirsk Aircraft Factory named after Chkalov of United Aircraft Corporation and delivered to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. New bombers have passed all ground and flight tests.

“Our aircraft manufacturers successfully fulfill the essential task of supplying new high-performance aircraft systems to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. The Su-34 has shown an excellent performance in the field, and the obligations on delivery of these aircraft within the state defence procurement program are met to the full extent,” said Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec.

Su-34 frontline bombers form an important part of the Russian frontline air striking power. The Su-34 has a wide range of combat capabilities allowing to use advanced air-launched weapons, to increase the ground and surface attack range, and to improve bombing accuracy.

“UAC successfully supplies the aircraft under the current year program and is already in the process of providing the aircraft for the next year supply program. The rate of work gained by us and our subcontractors allows to supply new high-performance aircraft systems to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation,” said Yury Slyusar, General Director of United Aircraft Corporation.
