Ruselectronics holding has shown an upgraded air defence unit control automation system at the international aerospace exhibition – Dubai Airshow 2023. The equipment is designed to perform target distribution and air targeting for anti-aircraft gunners and also to control anti-UAV systems.
Formerly, the system was available in frame-modular version for mounting on a vehicle. The upgraded portable version consists of an automated control module (ACM) and personal automation package (PAP). ACM is intended for an anti-aircraft gunner unit commander and PAP is intended for soldiers provided with portable anti-aircraft defence systems or small arms.
The automated control module includes a laptop or tablet with specialized software, navigation aids, wire and wireless communication equipment. The module provides coordination of anti-aircraft gunners, its functionality is capable of controlling nine gunners or four manportable air defence system platoons. The equipment is able to track up to one hundred targets, receive battle and reserve ammunition information from subordinates, and issue target designation commands.
The personal automation system includes a tablet, protective goggles with built-in microdisplay to display targets and radio communication and navigation equipment. The equipment ensures preliminary air target guidance of gunner’s weapons at the commands and target assignments of the unit commander.
