Rostec has Completed the Official Test of Koalitsiya-SV Self-Propelled Artillery Gun

Rostec has completed the official test of Koalitsiya-SV 152mm self-propelled artillery gun (SPAG) demonstrating the unique performance of the system. The advanced howitzer outperforms the best global and domestic products in firing range and accuracy as well as in combat mission solution time.

Koalitsiya-SV SPAG is designed to kill the enemy artillery and mortar batteries, armored vehicles and personnel. The gun is also intended to engage anti-air and anti-missile systems as well as control stations and field fortifications.

The gun has fully automated fire preparation processes, including shell type selection, fuze installation and gun targeting. This reduces the fire initiation time and provides the necessary rate of fire.

“Koalitsiya-SV self-propelled howitzer is not just another domestic artillery product, but is an important milestone in the artillery development. It is actually a combat robot, SPAG features high level of automation – the crew operates the combat vehicle remotely from an insulated armored capsule. Compared with the existing artillery guns, the Koalitsiya-SV has shorter time of response to any opportunity targets, which is particularly important in the current combat environment. Successful completion of the official test enables us to proceed to mass production of this artillery gun,” pointed out Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of Conventional Weapons, Ammunition and Special Chemicals Cluster of Rostec.
