The Blokpost reconnaissance thermal imaging system enables objects to be detected and located at a distance up to 5 km. It includes a microcopter with a thermal imaging camera and an intelligent video analytics system with a VR headset for real-time imaging.

The Blokpost reconnaissance thermal imaging system has been designed by Astrohn Optical and Mechanical Design Bureau. The system consists of a ground-based electro-optical turntable station, 400T microcopter with a thermal imaging camera, repeater and control panels. The 400T microcopter performs supplementary reconnaissance of the detected targets, if required. Its flight range achieves six kilometers and continuous operation time is at least 50 minutes.

When the system is running, data from the ground-based station and microcopter are remotely sent to the repeater and then to the operator. Thanks to the communication cable line between the repeater and control panel, the operator may stay at a safe distance and use a display for monitoring. Whilst the integrated intelligent video analytics automatically distinguishes the detected objects on the display and locates them.
