Kalashnikov Concern has demonstrated new advanced UAV to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. The defence holding has presented the Karakurt and SKAT 350 M unmanned aerial vehicles and the Kvazimachta equipment lifting system.

The Karakurt is a reconnaissance microcopter with real-time air imaging reconnaissance capability. The reconnaissance drone features launch maneuverability in confined space conditions from a compact transporter-launcher container.

The SKAT 350 M is designed for 24-hour air reconnaissance in optical and IR ranges. The drone has an excellent track record in combat conditions in the SMO zone.

Kvazimachta lifting system is used for high-speed communication with the ground data station (GDS) via a power supply cable. The platform is capable of operating in a radio silence mode, flight time is at least 24 hours. Moreover, GDS and operator can be offset at 500 meters from the UAV hovering point.

Operators appreciated the essential performance parameters of the drones. According to them, the products have been developed considering the priority trends of Russian defence sector and represent practical solutions for mobility of missions, including those performed in the SMO zone.
