Sergey Chemezov to enter the BRICS Business Council


On March, 26-27 the 5th meeting of Brazilian, Russian, Indian, Chinese and South African leaders will be held in Durban, RSA. The Business Council establishment will be announced at the summit. The Council will include 5 representatives of every BRICS country.

According to the Interfax agency, the Assistant to the President of Russia Yuri Ushakov told at a briefing in Moscow that the first meeting of BRICS leaders with business representatives will be held within the summit along with the Business Council establishment being announced. The Council major task will be implementing multilateral investment projects.

The Business Council is to comprise 5 members from every BRICS country, Mr Ushakov says. Russia will be represented by Sergey Chemezov, the general director of Rostec State Corporation, Sergey Katyrin, the President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vladimir Dmitriev, the Head of Vnesheconombank, Kirill Dmitriev, the CEO of Russian Direct Investment Fund, and Vladimir Yakunin, the Head of Russian Railways.

According to the Assistant to President, BRICS summit will discuss international burning issues, including the Syrian crisis, current events involving Iran and Middle East settlement.
