Sketch of Russian-Indian fifth-generation fighter is ready


Contractual work on sketchy-engineering project of Russian-Indian fifth-generation fighter is completed. According to the Sukhoi Aviation Holding Company (JSC) data, the aircraft conceptual design is fully developed, as well as the agreed amount and division of work among the parties during experimental design work.

The joint development agreement for production of fifth-generation fighter aircraft was signed on 18th of October 2007 in Moscow. In December 2010, FSUE "Rosoboronexport", "Sukhoi Aviation Holding Company" and Indian-based company Hindustan Aeronautics Limited have signed  the development contract for aircraft design project.

Developed aircraft will have some differences from the Russian prototype associated with specific requirements of the Indian Air Force.
