The new CEO (General Director) joined the company in October 2012, replacing Gary Koessler, who had been in this position for more than two years, VSMPO-AVISMA press service reports.

According to Terry Sacks, his objective is to increase Ural Boeing Manufacturing (UBM) output by 60%. Other plans include bolstering standardized operating processes and taking the company’s income into the positive territory.

Ural Boeing Manufacturing is a joint venture between VSMPO and US-based  Boeing Corporation, which has been in operation in Verkhnaya Salda since 2009. UBM focuses on primary machining of titanium stampings for Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Boeing 737 aircraft.

Overall, Boeing intends to invest US$ 27 billion in its Russian projects over the next 30 years, spending around US$ 18 billion on purchases of titanium products and US$ 5 billion on purchasing design services. Another US$ 4 billion will be spent on purchases of other products and services produced by the Russian aerospace industry.
