Venezuela’s and Rostec’s Companies Agreed Upon Joint Projects in Iron and Steel Industry, Transport and Finance

The agreements were achieved at the Russia and Venezuela — Strategic Partners business forum in Caracas

At the Russia and Venezuela — Strategic Partners business forum in Caracas, Rostec State Corporation and companies of the Bolivarian Republic elaborated joint projects in iron and steel industry, air transportation, automotive engineering, supply of fire-fighting equipment, information technologies and financial services. 

Venezuela is a strategic partner of Rostec State Corporation. Companies of the Bolivarian Republic and Rostec are linked together by a lot of already implemented projects both in the field of military-technical cooperation and civil sector. 

Evrofinance Mosnarbank (included in Rostec’s RT-Finance holding) and Russian Export Center have conducted negotiations with leading banks of Venezuela. The Venezuelan party expressed its interest in connection to the Russian financial messaging system. Partners are also interested in alternative methods of payment, including digital currency, and in the integration of their payment consortia with Russian payment systems. 

The parties have agreed upon the final stage of integration of Russia’s Leonardo Passenger Service System (created with the involvement of Rostec) into Conviasa. Proposals for the KUPoL continued airworthiness and aircraft maintenance system and Azimuth’s aeronautical equipment have been also submitted.
