United Aircraft Corporation has delivered the new Su-34 strike fighters to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. The aircraft have been included in the tactical airplane fleet of the Russian Air Force. The airplanes were made under the state defence procurement program for the current year.
“The Su-34 frontline bomber has a long track record as the best in class. Aircraft capabilities allow pilots to act successfully in theaters of operations and use unguided and guided air munitions. The aircraft is in high demand in modern combat conditions, our aircraft manufacturers have increased the production rates and ensure stable deliveries to the field,” said Oleg Evtushenko, Executive Director of Rostec.
Air Force crews have accepted the Su-34 to achieve the material fielding targets set out by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. This aircraft has quite a lot of benefits, including a large range of weapons. The airplane is maneuverable and steers well,” said a Su-34 pilot of the Russian Air Force.
The Su-34 strike fighter is designed to engage ground (surface) and air targets and infrastructure facilities covered by air defence systems and located at considerable distances from the home airfield. The aircraft can be used in counterfire and information countermeasure conditions, in day and night time in favorable and adverse weather conditions, and in any geographic theater of operations.
