Rostec’s United Aircraft Corporation and HAL company have signed an agreement on partnership to establish cooperation in manufacturing of the Superjet-100 in India. The agreement will lay the basis for further cooperation between the parties within the project for establishment of licensed production of the Superjet in India.
The document was signed by Vadim Badekha, General Director of UAC, and Dr. D.K.Sunil, the Chairman of HAL.
The document records an agreement on the assistance to be provided by HAL to UAC within the Superjet certification / type certificate validation process in India. A license will be granted to HAL to manufacture and sell the SJ-100, including assemblies, parts and components necessary for maintenance and repair of this airplane.
UAC in turn will provide assistance to HAL in the establishment and modernization of HAL facilities to produce the SJ-100 through advice, engineering services and involvement of experts.
Execution of this document was an important stage on the way to conclusion of a general agreement, which will contain a road map, timeframes, financial indicators and detailed distribution of efforts exerted by the parties.
