Rostec’s Rosel holding starts commercial production of a new line of domestically made servers. The products are designed for artificial intelligence, virtualization, big data tasks and high-performance computing. The equipment will help import-substitute similar foreign solutions at manufacturing facilities and data centers.

By the end of this year, commercial production of three models will start: universal server, data storage server, and high-performance server for artificial intelligence and neural networks. The equipment features high performance and fail-safety for operation at data centers on a 24/7 basis.

The key advantage is full production cycle localization directly in Russia. All development and assembly stages are performed at the facilities of Research and Development Center of Computer Technology. This ensures independence of foreign influence at all stages from manufacturing to maintenance service. The new equipment is fully compatible with Russian software.

“Start of commercial production of these servers will fundamentally solve the key import-substitution problems. Everything, from development to after-sales service, will be carried out within our country. We’ve already got advance orders from governmental and business companies,” said Rostec’s representatives.
