The Pantsir-S1M is designed to provide air defence of small fixed and mobile military, administrative and industrial facilities and areas against airplanes, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise missiles, guided bombs, single MLRS rockets, small low-speed UAVs and precision-guided munitions, and to provide additional reinforcement of air defence units against massive airborne weapon attacks.
