Waste recycling, introduction of green technologies and ecological monitoring systems

Establishment of a comprehensive solid household waste handling system in Russia is one of the key projects of the Corporation.

A pilot project for introducing this system in the Moscow region and Kazan has been implemented by RT-Invest, a company included in Rostec State Corporation, since 2018.;

The system consists of several important components: separate waste collection, sorting and recycling with the use of state-of-the-art systems. Also, construction of eco-friendly facilities to convert non-recyclable waste into energy.

Up to 90% of plastic bottles and aluminum cans may be recycled through RT-Invest’s reverse vending machines. The more waste is involved in recycling the closer we approach the zero landfill concept when all waste can do more good than harm.

The company co-operates with dozens of Russian waste recyclers. In addition, five Energy from Waste facilities are being built. All this is done to achieve a single goal — to convert waste into new resources and to completely do away with waste landfills.
