Rostec has Started Delivery of Blood Collection Tubes to Russian Medical Centers

Rostec’s Research Engineering Institute (NIII) has started the first deliveries of vacuum venous blood collection tubes to Russian medical centers and laboratories.   The company is going to produce 40,000,000 tubes this year and 70,000,000 tubes in 2024 in order to reduce the need for supply of such products from foreign countries.

Vacuum tubes are intended for safe bio-material collection, transportation and storage and are indispensable for achieving an accurate test result. The first batches of goods have been sent to medical facilities in Moscow. Requests for the products also come from Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, the Bryansk and Kurgan Regions, Krasnodar and Altai Krais, and other Russian regions.

“Venous blood tests are the most widely used and, therefore, local production of tubes for them is essential. We launched mass production of vacuum tubes in December last year and today the first products have been delivered to medical centers and laboratories. They are as good as the foreign  equivalents and have received only positive feedback. Production is operated on a double-shift basis with 40,000 tubes produced per each shift. We are going to output about 40,000,000 products this year and up to 70,000,000 products in 2024.  This will allow to reduce the need for supply of such products from foreign countries and to ensure public health security,” said Rostec’s representatives.
