Rostec has Developed a Communication System Based on Artificial Intelligence for Fifth-Generation Aircraft

Ruselectronics holding has developed an airborne digital communications system using artificial intelligence technologies. The equipment is designed for fifth-generation aircraft. It will improve the performance of information transmission between aircraft and ground-based systems.

The system developed by Polyot professionals, Ruselectronics holding, operates in high and very high frequency bands. The cognitive radio technology considerably enhances interference and intelligence immunity of the airborne communications system.

The equipment ensures data transmission validity by means of noiseless coding, message symbol interlacing, universal time synchronization for signal processing, simultaneous message transmission via parallel links, extending stable communication range, and using artificial intelligence technologies.

The system includes computers, interlacers and de-interlacers, HF-band antenna tuners, digital signal processors, noiseless encoders and decoders as well as global navigation satellite signal receiver with antenna, digital signal processing and synchronization bus.

The patent for the invention was presented at the Archimedes 2023 International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies in Moscow and was awarded a gold medal.
