Roselectronics holding has created a mobile complex to control forest fire extinguishing. The new development on the KAMAZ cross-country chassis will provide firefighters with stable communication and operational information in hard-to-reach areas where there are no traditional communication channels.

The complex includes a drone for detecting and monitoring fires, walkie-talkies for personnel, a base station with a range of 30 km, a 15-meter transmitting antenna and a satellite communication station. In the future, it may include tracker bracelets for biometric monitoring of the condition of firefighters.

The project was implemented by the Krasnoyarsk Scientific and Production Enterprise «Radiosvyaz» of the Roselectronics holding together with M.F. Reshetnev Siberian State University by order of the Forest Fire Center of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

"Thousands of forest fires are recorded in Russia every year, covering an area of millions of hectares, and according to the Rosselkhoz data, the damage is approximately 20 billion rubles annually. The use of mobile control systems will minimize the loss of the forest fund and ensure the safety of personnel. Thanks to the organization of stable communication, firefighters are not left alone with the fire. To date, an experimental sample has been created and this year we plan to complete its testing and put it into operation,” said Rinat Galeev, General Director of Radiosvyaz Scientific and Production Enterprise.
