Today, at the Reception House in Novo-Ogarevo a ceremony was held to award employees of the Rostec State Corporation to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Rostec this year. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin congratulated the staff of the State Corporation and awarded its specialists with III Class Orders “For Merit to the Fatherland”, Orders of “Honour” and Orders of “Friendship” for their achievements in the industry development.
"First of all, I would like to congratulate the huge Rostec staff in its entirety encompasing hundreds of thousands of workers, engineers, qualified specialists – on the Corporation’s 10th anniversary. Thank you for your faithful work and your weighty, significant results that were achieved by you, and for your contribution to strengthening of Russia’s industrial, technological and defensive potential," said Vladimir Putin.
The President also noted that in the past years Rostec had become a flagship, a tool for a qualitative development of the Russian industry and a growth of the national state of the art goods export.
Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec Corporation, thanked the President for his appraisal of the State Corporation's work. "We understand and accept the whole burden of responsibility weighing on us. Our country has undergone a hard period of the Soviet industry collapse. Very ambitious objectives were set before us: to preserve what was still afloat, revive entire production sectors, and ensure defensive potential of the country. Of course, global goals need time to achieve. But I can say, not without pride, that we have selected the right vector of development and today we are abreast with global manufacturers in a series of industries," said Sergey Chemezov.
