Shvabe demonstrated the most advanced samples of Russian neonatal and anaesthetic equipment.

In particular, at its exhibition stand the holding company presented a fibre-optical system for newborn phototherapy BiliFlex and a brand new anaesthetic system MAIA-01 that is unparalleled in Russia. The latter is the unique Russian device combining the functions of artificial lung ventilation, anaesthesia and integrated respiratory gas monitoring. It became one of the most popular showpieces at MEDICA 2017.

MAIA-01 has won several Russian contests. It helps the medical workers to efficiently provide intensive care to adults and children aged one year and above. Due to its integrated system for control of anaesthetic drug concentration in the gas mixture and the system for analysis of the patient condition the equipment is capable to perform respiratory anaesthesia using all modern types of liquid and gaseous anaesthetic drugs without any negative effect for life and health. The system conforms to the international quality and safety standards. It is recognised as one of the brightest examples of modern advanced technology medical equipment manufactured in Russia.

Medical equipment is one of the core lines of Shvabe's work in the non-defence segment that includes more than 200 various items. Along with neonatal and anaesthetic equipment the holding company's enterprises manufacture ophthalmological, gynaecological, laboratory and other equipment. Shvabe's products are exported to 95 countries of the world.
