'Zavod Plastmass' back on track after the incident

 

The damage to the enterprise was insignificant. People injured in the incident were provided with emergency aid and their lives are out of danger.

September 11, in the afternoon, an exploder detonated in the shop No. 4. Six workers were injured. Two of the wounded were operated, and the rest are already discharged from the hospital.

"As it was not the charge that detonated, but just an exploder, the plant was damaged insignificantly, - Oleg Lisitsyn, enterprise Director General, announced.  - It's early to discuss the reasons of the incident yet. A commission is currently working on a plant, that is to establish, together with the law enforcement officials, what caused the detonation".

All the necessary precaution measures are observed at the enterprise. There have been no such incidents here since 1943.

 'Zavod Plastmass' - one of the major Russian enterprises specializing in industrial explosives production, as well as in outdated ammunition utilization.It was founded in 1939 in the town of Kopeisk. The plant is the only Southern Ural classic industrial explosives manufacturer. Its production is used in mining, road building, precious metals extraction and in other branches of national economy. In 2011 the enterprise was included in the 'Rostec' corporation. The plant provides 1550 jobs. Director General of the plant is Oleg Nikolayevich Lisitsyn.
