The RD-107А/108А rocket engines produced by Samara-based UEC-Kuznetsov manufacturing facility included in United Engine Corporation ensured a successful launch of the Soyuz-2.1b with a spacecraft on board. The propulsion systems worked properly.

The launch took place at 01:22 Moscow time on 3 March 2025 from the Plesetsk Test Cosmodrome launcher. UEC-Kuznetsov’s engines installed on stages I and II of the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle worked properly and carried the spacecraft into the target orbit at the estimated time.

UEC-Kuznetsov service center personnel were involved in preparing the launch vehicle for the launch and also tracked the engine operation conditions.

Stages I and II of all R-7 type launch vehicles (including Soyuz type launch vehicles) have been furnished with UEC-Kuznetsov’s RD-107А/RD-108А propulsion modifications since 1958.

These engines are currently produced in series by UEC-Kuznetsov. Statistical product reliability exceeds 99.9%.
