United Engine Corporation is expanding the manufacturing capacities to increase the industrial engine production for energy sector. A new production building with modern high-tech equipment was commissioned at the Samara-based UEC-Kuznetsov. Parts for advanced power units will be manufactured here to replace foreign engines at gas transport infrastructure facilities.

The new production building has a fully-integrated production cycle — from workpieces to finished gas turbine engines. The modern high-tech equipment is used to make turbine wheels and nozzles for aircraft and industrial power units.

In particular, the shop capacities are involved in manufacturing new domestically made NK-36ST 32 MW industrial gas turbine engines for gas compressor units for oil and gas, and energy applications. They replace foreign equipment at energy sector facilities.

There are milling and turning machining centers, profile-grinding and surface-grinding machines, robotic welding stations, automated coordinate-measuring machines and test units in the shop. Streamlined structure of production and test areas and automation of most processes offer improved quality of products and increased volume of production.
