Rostec State Corporation will first show the latest Citadel surface-to-air missile system at the 1st International Security Forum. It effectively fights with various types of enemy drones due to automation and “smart” projectiles. High performance of the system has been proved in real conditions.

The ZAK-30 Citadel surface-to-air missile system has the 30mm caliber and is designed to protect fixed assets against multi-rotor and fixed-wing drone attacks. The system can be used on a 24/7 basis.

“The Citadel is fitted with electro-optical and radar drone detection and tracking system. Optical channel runs in visible and IR range. In addition, the system can use controlled destruction projectiles and its operation is highly-automated,” said Rostec’s representatives.

Remotely-controlled fuze projectiles have shrapnel filling. The Citadel’s guidance system calculates the most advantageous detonation point according to the target flight path. Engagement of one target requires much fewer projectiles of this type than of conventional munitions.

Rostec’s companies will also demonstrate other defence solutions. In particular, the S350M-E system with short range drone and payloads for various types of drones, the SKAT 350M reconnaissance drone with the Kub-2E loitering munitions and an air space control system will be showcased.

The International Security Forum will be held at Live Arena in the Moscow region on 26-29 May under the authority of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
