Kurganmashzavod included in Rostec’s High-Precision Systems holding resumes large-scale manufacturing of the TM-140 tracked all-terrain amphibious vehicle. The manufacturer is planning to produce 40 vehicles in 2026 and will continue ramping up the production. Four versions of the vehicles will be available.

On the Polar Explorer's Day, Rostec first publishes a video of the vehicle test in heavy-duty conditions which the TM-140 often encounters in the north polar region. The new hero of the NashKrash project withstood a jump in a water body from a 70cm pad — body design and wide tracks of the all-terrain vehicle ensured smooth landing on water. During the test, the TM-140 was also able to climb a steep hill with 6t cargo — this is 1.5 times as high as the stated capacity of the Russian swamp-going off-road vehicle.

The vehicle capacity is 4 tons, speed is up to 45 km/h on hard surface and up to 5 km/h on water, cruising range (basic version) is more than 500 km. High mobility is the key feature of the TM-140. Thus, the TM-140 may be used in hard-to-reach areas, in particular, in adverse Arctic conditions. The vehicle can move on deep snow, across marshes and water obstacles, go uphill at an angle up to 30°.

Among other things, the all-terrain vehicle is equipped with a system that ensures engine start even when the battery charge is lower than 20% of the nominal battery capacity. Therefore, the TM-140 becomes even more reliable.
