NEFAZ (Neftekamsk Automotive Plant) is a subsidiary of KAMAZ PJSC, number three bus manufacturer in Russia. One of the latest developments of the plant is NEFAZ 5299-40-57 low-floor city bus designed for operation along the routes with intensive passenger flow.
As everyone knows, low floor is one of the main requirements to advanced city buses. Low-floor NEFAZ З-5299-40-57 fully conforms to this requirement and the Available Environment programme. Besides, the bus has a platform for wheelchair equipped with a folding armrest and stop buttons for disabled people. The bus is designed to carry 110 passengers, including 28 seats.
NEFAZ 5299-40-57 has a so-called improved interior. As compared to the previous models, there are certain noticeable trim changes: higher quality materials, new interior lights and overhead panels.
The bus is equipped with an automatic gearbox. The heart of NEFAZ 5299-40-57 is WP7NG 6-cylinder gas engine manufactured by a Chinese corporation, Weichai Power. Its power is 260 h.p. at 1,000 Nm torque, and it conforms to Euro-5. It is powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) stored in eight gas tanks located on the bus roof with total volume of 984 litres.
Basic configuration of NEFAZ 5299-40-57 includes: ERA-GLONASS accident emergency response system, panoramic windshield, full glazing of doors and an electronic destination indicator.
Additional options include a voice information system and an interior news ticker, a climate control system, video surveillance and tilting seats. The passenger compartment and colour scheme can also be adapted to the customer's requirements. Besides, two gas tanks can be installed additionally.
