New generation propulsion for the MC-21 family

The PD-14 is Russia’s first fifth generation gas turbine engine. It is designed for the MC-21-310 medium-range passenger aircraft and meets current environmental requirements. The aircraft engine underwent all necessary tests and was certified in 2018. 

The PD-14 uses local materials, with 16 key technologies developed and implemented in manufacturing, for example, turbine blades made of ultra-light-weight intermetallic titanium.
