Rostec is one of the national leading research and production centers focusing on creation of unique materials and products for aviation, aerospace, transport, chemical and other industries. Many of these developments are unique both in Russia and abroad.
In Rostec this area is developed by ORPE Technologiya named after A.G. Romashin, Center ‘Applied Chemistry’, State Research Institute for Chemistry and Technology of Organoelemental Compounds, Research Institute for Synthetic Fiber, etc.
Directions
Rostec’s companies conduct applied research in the area of new materials, unique design and technology, manufacture commercial innovative products using polymer composite, ceramic and glass-like materials.
ORPE Technologiya produces commercial domestic impact-resistant glazing for transport, including bird-resistant glazing for aircraft and high-speed passenger trains. The company supplies sound-absorbing and adjustable panels for aircraft engines. Unique materials protecting spacecraft against overheating are created.
