Rosaviatsiya has reissued approval documents for the aircraft by combining four previous type certificates for all modifications of Tupolev’s (included in Rostec’s United Aircraft Corporation) aircraft. 

The joint type certificate will be used to optimize the aircraft operation cost, improve cockpit, cabin and ground crew training quality. 

The document will also help improve aircraft maintenance because spare parts, tools and maintenance procedures become common for all models from the family and for repair by carriers. 

The joint certificate will also allow Tupolev team, as the developer, to introduce identical materials and certified structural components within one aircraft modification from the Tu-204/214 family.
