World-class laser and optical technology center will be opened at Rostec Shvabe Technology Park. The corresponding agreements were achieved between Russia’s optical sector officials, Huajong Science and Technology University and optical associations of Russia and China.
The cooperation agreement was signed by Shvabe’s Research Institute “Polyus” Director General Evgeniy Kuznetsov and National Engineering Center for Laser Treatment of Materials at Huajong Science and Technology University Director Ju Syo.
“We expect that cooperation between Russia and China will improve opportunities for both countries in development of high technology laser equipment, as well as become a new impulse for further improvement and development of national photonics. Within the joint research and production programs a completely new sphere of industrial laser equipment will be developed. That sphere is constantly evolving and needs innovations and modern technologies. Special consideration will be given to disc lasers development. The technology is currently used in machinery production, automotive industry and aerospace sector”, Shvabe Deputy Director General Sergey Popov commented.
The participants of the program are supposed to be largely involved in sharing of experience, scientific and research work, quality control in the field of photonics and laser technologies.
